LOOP and CUT heads on Electric Tufting Gun

Let’s take a closer look at the LOOP pile and CUT pile heads of the Electric Tufting Gun:

- The electric tufting gun can perform both CUT/LOOP features (one at a time) after manual switch of the pile heads. The picture above shows how the LOOP and CUT head each look in the slide which goes in the bottom slot of the machine.

- The heads can be switched by unscrewing the cross screw at the end side of the slide.

- File down any resistant/blunt sides if your new scissors doesn’t fit in the slide. Make sure the bent angle of the scissors align with your original pair-in some cases that might affect the result of your pile quality.

Three tips on Cut pile scissors head maintenance:

 
 

1. Clean your scissors often, as they can easily rust or jam with yarn “dust”.

 
 
 
 
 

2. If the blades run blunt, you can sharpen them with a oil stone, or simply order a new pair.

 
 
 
 
 
 

3. Oil and store the CUT pile head in a sealed bag after switching with LOOP pile head, and vise versa.
